Breaking Barriers in Window eCommerce: Artem Pedchenko Talks Vitrager’s Innovation

Let’s face it — buying windows isn’t exactly fun, especially when they’re custom-sized. The process is slow, confusing, and full of hidden costs. And don’t even get me started on trying to get quotes from multiple suppliers.

This hassle inspired Vitrager — a smart, modular SaaS platform that enables selling windows, doors, and related services online just like any modern product. We spoke with Artem Pedchenko, Director at Vitrager LTD, in an interview with Website Planet to learn how it began and why this niche solution is gaining traction with manufacturers, dealers, and tech partners across Europe.

What gave you the idea for Vitrager?

It was personal. While managing a building project, I just wanted to compare window prices and specs easily — like you would for a hotel or laptop. But in the window industry, pricing is mostly hidden. Even when you receive quotes, comparing them requires some kind of glazing expert knowledge. That’s when the idea struck: what if there was a platform where various producers and dealers could offer their windows for instant pricing and side-by-side comparison?

That idea evolved into Vitrager — now a full-featured platform with window configurators, multilingual websites, CRM and production integrations, and much more.

So, what makes window eCommerce so tricky?

Two words: complexity and language.

Configuring a custom window isn’t straightforward — it usually involves specialist software used by trained personnel. Plus, many buyers and sellers don’t speak the same language. Add on services like installation or delivery, and the process gets even more complicated.

Vitrager solves this by combining configuration, quoting, services, and multilingual support into one easy-to-use system. It transforms a complicated process into something any professional — or customer — can handle without needing to call a technician.

What about your window configurator — how does that help businesses sell?

For manufacturers, it’s a game-changer. Most factory software isn’t designed for sales — it’s technical, internal, and not user-friendly.

Vitrager allows them to create clean, multilingual quotes and websites that can be shared with international partners and new dealers. It’s not just about selling online — it’s about showing a potential dealer:

“Here’s a window configurator in your language, with all the product details. You can use this in your region tomorrow — no coding, no big setup cost.”

For dealers, it’s a step forward in online sales — whether that means selling windows and services directly via eCommerce or generating leads from customers who want transparent pricing but aren’t ready to buy yet. Crucially, dealers maintain 100% ownership of their customer data — everything stays in their CRM.

Why did you go with the SaaS model?

Because it just makes sense.

Instead of spending months developing custom software, clients subscribe and launch quickly. They don’t worry about updates or maintenance — we handle that. Plus, they receive all new features automatically as they’re released.

For us, SaaS means we can continually improve Vitrager and ensure the entire ecosystem benefits — instantly.

You’re in a pretty specific niche. How do you keep innovating?

By listening to users and building what they truly need.

For example, many clients were stuck using spreadsheets, so we created an integration with Odoo CRM to help them transition to a modern, cloud-based system. We also built tools to export window orders from Vitrager into older factory software — so even traditional manufacturers can stay connected. Right now, we’re working on an exciting feature: AI-powered onboarding. This will allow users to upload drawings, sketches, or PDFs, and Vitrager will understand and convert them into usable configurations.

It’s all about addressing real pain points — not just adding trendy features.
