Features & Ease of Use

AbeloHostoffers a healthy range of offshore shared hosting, VPS, and dedicated server packages. Users will be attracted primarily to the range of features they offer at reasonable rates. It also doesn’t hurt that their plans can scale with your company, so you can stick with AbeloHost for the long haul.

Their most basic SSD Shared Pro v1 plan includes a dedicated IP, a decent 10GB of SSD-hosted webspace, and 50GB of bandwidth. It also includes the Softaculous one-click app installer, DDoS protection, and all the standard web hosting features such as FTP access, scripting language support, and mySQL databases. All their hosting packages include a cPanel installation,enabling users to easily adjust hosting settings as needed.

All of their data centers are hosted in the Netherlands and therefore protected under Dutch law. This means that users who are concerned about the exposure of their data or facing restrictions to free speech in their countries of origin can rest assured knowing that AbeloHost will do their utmost to protect them.

Pricing & Support

AbeloHost’s offshore shared and VPS hosting plans aren’t the cheapest on the market, but they also aren’t all that pricey – bearing in mind that what you’re paying for is the peace of mind that comes with an offshore host.

Their dedicated servers appear to be a very popular option because of the discounts the offer; when I checked, they were completely out of stock and had to put interested buyers on a waitlist.

Except for their SSD VPS hosting plan (which comes with a 30-day money back guarantee if you pay with anything besides Bitcoin), there appears to be no free version or money-back guarantee.That said, their prices are extremely competitive and their plans scalable. AbeloHost accepts payment in Bitcoin, PayPal, WebMoney, iDeal, and bank transfer.

Customer support is available via a support ticket system, a rather limited knowledge base of tutorials, and a client-only section. They also have a live chat, but it’s available only during their posted working hours. On the upside, queries submitted via their ticketing system are typically responded to within a day, which is decent.

Whenever I emailed them with technical questions, they responded promptly and their support staff exhibited great knowledge. Since it’s a small company, they make sure to provide each and every customer with the time and attention they require.

Well worth the investment

The technicians are helpful and you can tell they have experience, which is sadly rare. I appreciate the transparent communication and the accent on security because of the customer data I store. It’s a relief to know everything is always secure. This is not the cheapest option by any means but I think it’s well worth the investment when you consider the benefits.

Efficient, fast and overall fantastic

Abelohost is efficient, fast, and just overall fantastic to work with. There haven’t been huge outages or performance issues, and just as importantly there have been no breaches or data losses. I contacted support on two separate occasions, got immediate help, and had no subsequent problems. I also have to say that everything is super easy to use so it’s a good option if you don’t have a lot of experience. Thank you to the team for everything!

I use the VPS service here and own two websites, and I am really satisfied with the services so far. Security is by far the biggest selling point here. The offshore servers are top-notch, the protections in place air-tight, and there have been no issues or attacks in the year I have been using Abelohost. I also appreciate the support—I have reached out a few times and they were always quick and happy to help. No complaints here!

I recommend to everyone

I will start this review by saying that I have already worked with four different hosting companies so far, Abelohost being the fifth. As such, I think I have more than enough knowledge and experience to rate it, talk about its strengths and weaknesses, and recommend it to others based on experience. First off, I think this is one of the few companies that actually delivers what it promises, the way it promises it would. The speed and network stability are great, and there really is no downtime. Or at least, there have been no outages in the three months I have been using the VPS plan. The customer support is actually extraordinary, and I don’t have a single bad thing to say. Everyone I have spoken to (four different agents in total) have been knowledgeable and cordial, which are the only two traits a good customer support agent should possess. They help out as soon as you reach out, and try to be as quick as possible—of course, the efficiency also depends on the nature of your issue. The main selling point, though, is the incredible security. This is definitely the company to pick if you’re always worried about breaches and need your data (be it personal or from customers) to be safe against any attack. The firewalls and security protocols employed are top-notch, and it looks like the team is always looking for ways to improve and fortify them, which is commendable. The one disadvantage is the fact that every change or update or upgrade causes bugs that need resolving. You could just install or update the simplest plugins and something will, somehow, go wrong and require tweaks that most people will not know how to handle on their own. While the support is, as I have mentioned, amazing, it does get annoying that you have to contact them so much. All in all, I think this provider is one of the few with decent pricing that delivers what it promises. It has air-tight security, so it’s perfect for those that deal with sensitive data. It is also a good choice for online businesses and streaming sites, as long as everything sold or featured is approved in the Terms of Service. I recommend this to everyone, regardless of their experience level. It is worth trying and definitely worth your time!

The support agent I talked to was an actual angel. She did research to help me solve an issue with plugins, explained what went wrong, and gave instructions on what exactly to do if it happened again. A competent team

I purchased a monthly plan just to suss things out but switched to an annual option within two weeks. This is what I have been looking for ever since starting my websites. A competent team that is looking to provide you with services that suit your needs instead of scamming you with things you don’t need—this is unfortunately industry practice at this point. I have been with three different hosts, all of who tried to convince me I needed bigger plans for a simple site connected to my business. Kudos to all of you, I’m not planning on switching providers anytime soon.
